Offaly joint manager Harte has been on the end of some scathing Brolly attacks, particulary over the past year when he was Derry boss.
It's fair to say Joe Brolly is not too impressed with Mickey Harte landing a sponsored car in Offaly. But the legendary Tyrone three-time All-Ireland winning manager has received plenty of support on ‘X’ as he collected the keys to a Renault Arkanan from Tullamore Motors.
Some posters on social media supported Brolly, while others referred to Harte’s lengthy involvement in inter-county management compared to the 1993 Derry All-Ireland winner, who has never managed at the highest level.Another said: ‘Have you got your name in for the Derry job yet Joe. See how you get on.’
The Errigial Ciaran man later linked up with Offaly, where he will act as joint manager alongside Declan Kelly. Another added: “Have you any other tweets of the many GAA players or managers that receive their sponsored vehicles or is it just Mickey that lives in your head?” Previous Dublin GAA car partners include Toyota and Subaru. Toyoto provided 16 cars for Dublin players back in 2014 on a three year deal, but the number of cars Subaru and Peugeot have provided have not been made public.
