Summer Creek’s one score came in the third quarter when senior quarterback Jahir Jones threw a 3-yard TD pass to Roriyon Richardson at the 5:20 mark to make it 28-7. “We just got behind on the chains,” Summer Creek coach Kenny Harrison said. “As coaches we just have to do a better job of executing and putting our kids in the best position to make plays. “Our offensive line is a big part of who we are,” Joseph said. “Our defensive line is part of who we are. ... wouldn’t be any good without them, and they wouldn’t be good without him. The same thing about our defensive line - wouldn’t be as good without our secondary and linebackers. It was a good team win.”Katy advances to the Region III-6A Division II state quarterfinals to take on C.E. King. Katy defeated C.E. King 41-24 in the regional semifinals last season.
