Kodak Black is arrested in Florida on New Year's Day on trespassing charges
The 33-year-old rapper was arrested in Pompano Beach, where he grew up. He was approached by police around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday. Black's lawyer claimed he was arrested after doing charitable deeds in the area.
He was allegedly served a cease-and-desist letter months earlier. His lawyer says the letter didn't specifically bar him from being in the area. The rapper was released on a $25 bond later in the day. It's unclear if the arrest will affect the artist's ongoing probation
