The 45-year-old was found dead behind a door.

Eduard Maslov stabbed Valerijs Litvins to death after a row broke out at the Parkhead flat. Jurors were shown horrific photos of the 45 year-old's blood-stained body lying in the property.

Maslov had faced a murder allegation during the trial at the High Court in Glasgow. But, he was instead convicted of the reduced charge of culpable homicide. The indictment stated the 48-year-old shouted and swore at the victim, demanded that he leave his house and brandished a knife at him on March 7, 2021. He then struggled with Mr Litvins before repeatedly stabbing him on the head and body. Maslov, now of Calton, will be sentenced next month. The trial heard Maslov being quizzed by detectives and asked if he was "happy" Mr Litvins did not apparently pay rent regularly.

He stated in the interview he had only realised the victim was seriously injured when he saw "a lot of blood".One officer told jurors: "I could see a male injured lying behind the door."Myself and my colleague checked for signs of life. "However, it was clear due to the amount of blood and the condition that it would provide no benefit."Maslov was asked what happened, but his response was described as "incoherent".
