Heart of Africa UK requested a cooker and kitchen equipment through the council’s scheme with plans to launch a community lunch club.

A Larkhall charity has received equipment to launch a lunch club thanks to the council’s Community Wish List.

Caroline Ayiku from Heart of Africa UK said: “This donation will help us start a new kitchen at Hareleeshill Community Hub in Larkhall. “We were only able to achieve this by working collaboratively with the GPA to identify equipment coming free and with South Lanarkshire Council to identify possible benefactors. We were assisted in the removal, storage, and distribution by James Scott Ltd.
