Patrick Kielty sat down with Piers Morgan on the Late Late Show to chat about his YouTube show Piers Morgan Uncensored, Donald Trump, and Morgan’s “controversial” views - but some viewers were unimpressed with the guest and interview
RTÉ Late Late Show viewers were divided after Patrick Kielty ’s interview with controversial broadcaster Piers Morgan on Friday night’s show.
We became quite good friends from that and after that, I went on his Apprentice show each year as his boardroom advisor and then I went to CNN in America and I interviewed him probably 30/40 times “And sure enough, he ended up winning, and I wrote a column the day he ran saying I think Trump will have the last laugh because I had a feeling when I went around middle America doing crime documentaries and things I could just feel it.”
One viewer said: “How long was the Piers Morgan interview? Six minutes? If you have a guest on do an interview. Even then, no research done by Kielty and a few little smart comments . A pure bluffer of a host”“Piers Morgan, like him, dislike him, I don’t care - but Patrick, give your guest the respect of asking informed, intelligent and probing questions”.
