Late Late Show wins RTE ratings war over Kin and Tommy Tiernan after Ryan Tubridy shock announcement
The Late Late Show had almost an average of 100,000 more viewers than the Dancing With The Stars final – after Ryan Tubridy announced he was stepping down as host.
A spokesman for RTE said: “The Late Late Show on Friday, March 17th, had an average audience of 553,000 on RTÉ One and a 53% share. On RTÉ Player, Friday's episode has generated 35,300 streams so far. The current series from September onwards has almost 878,000 streams. But the biggest drop in viewers was the first episode of the second series of Kin, which failed to draw in massive audiences compared to when it first launched on RTE One in 2021.
“Kin, series 2, episode 1, had an average of audience of 376,000 on RTÉ One and a 35% audience share.
