On the fifth anniversary of Caroline Flack's death, Laura Whitmore shared their final text conversations, offering a poignant glimpse into their friendship.

Former Love Island host Laura Whitmore has recently shared her final text conversations with Caroline Flack, who tragically died by suicide on February 15, 2020. On the fifth anniversary of Caroline's death, Laura posted their messages on Instagram, offering a glimpse into their close bond. Caroline stepped down from presenting Love Island in December 2019 following legal troubles related to an alleged assault against her then-boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Laura was chosen as her replacement, and Caroline publicly expressed her support for Laura's new role. The texts reveal that Caroline sent Laura a message on December 18, 2019, saying, 'Hey xxx About to go see ITV. I hope you are doing the job xx. I wouldn't want it to be anyone else x.' Laura responded with gratitude and shared that she had met with ITV and had a conversation but nothing was confirmed. Laura then sent Caroline another message, sharing that she had been offered the role for the series and they were going to announce it that day. She expressed her desire to do justice to the show and asked how Caroline was doing. Caroline replied with a red love heart emoji and said, 'I'm glad it you xxx.' Laura concluded their final exchange with a message of hope and support, saying: 'Thanks so much for that insta message. You've no idea how lovely that is. Hope you're doing ok and we're all thinking of you and missing you.' Caroline responded with four red love heart emojis. Laura explained in her caption that she came across these messages while setting up her new phone and reading them again was deeply emotional. She emphasized that Caroline's messages show a beautiful side of her that is worth remembering. Laura also shared that she never inquired about Caroline's court case, as she felt it wasn't her place. She expressed gratitude for the final messages they exchanged and hoped that Caroline found peace wherever she may be
