Parents said it was triggering for their daughter's anxieties after Farnley Academy staff 'harassed' them at their home
Leeds parents were left in “shock” after members of school staff knocked on their doors during the school holidays to check up on their children.
The Leeds mum said: “Someone turned up on the Monday asking if she had everything ready, her equipment and uniform and things. She found it really bizarre. I’ve had four children at that school and the school has never done anything like that before. And then I got a phone call yesterday afternoon, and I missed it.
“I think we’re a bit different as my son does have medical needs and we work closely with the school. He goes when he can, so I can understand why they came to see us. So I wish they’d done it today and not on Monday. An attendance contract is given when a pupil’s attendance runs below a certain level, says Emma. The school then monitor the child’s attendance for a period of four weeks.
