A number of schools have partially locked down or have sent pupils home
Schools across West Yorkshire have been put on high alert after some received an email warning of a 'credible threat'.
It is believed the email threatened the safety of pupils and staff. Officers say they are providing assistance and safety advice to all affected schools. West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are aware of an email which has been sent to a number of schools in West Yorkshire today. It is unclear exactly what the message contained, but it is said to be a credible threat to safety. Leeds City Council and Bradford Metropolitan District Council have both been contacted for comment as well.
