Kieran Maguire suspects Leeds United dressing room 'dissent' after legal threats
There will be ‘dissent’ and ‘unhappiness’ in the Leeds United dressing room after players threatened legal action against the club.about the problems Leeds faced this summer because of relegation clauses. The Yorkshire side saw a majority of their first-team squad leave the club this summer after being relegated to the Championship.
Leeds included clauses in many players’ contracts that allowed them to leave via loan if the club was demoted., Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra threatened legal action against the club because the relegation clauses in their contracts weren’t honoured. Maguire believes the new board at Leeds are trying to correct the ‘legacy issues’ left at Elland Road by the ‘overconfident’ previous ownership.“I think the strategy in the Premier League was very much one of decide-in-haste, repent-in-leisureThe senior hierarchy at the club were perhaps overconfident with regards to their continued ability to remain in the Premier League. And that came back to bite them, though those people are not necessarily involved with the club anymore.
