Twitter users have seen the funny side to what they described as a 'sad story' following the mix-up
A woman said her lifelong Arsenal supporting uncle was accidentally buried in an old Chelsea jersey a friend bought him as joke, after his partner mixed up the two kits.
"My uncle David, a lifelong Arsenal fan, died on Saturday. As a nod to his beloved team, we decided to bury him in a Gunners jersey," the post began. She explained that as part of the preparations, his girlfriend "carefully selected" the least-worn top from his collection.The post, which has garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of retweets, is flooded with condolences, however many of the commenters have praised Linda for seeing the funny side to a sad story.Linda also explained: "In her defence, it was an away Chelsea jersey from about 2003 - when Emirates was their sponsor. Someone must have bought it for him as a joke.
