Line of Duty verdict as real life cop reveals who he thinks 'H' could be
He will be among more than eight million fans of BBC One drama Line of Duty watching tonight’s series finale, and hoping to discover the identity of the rat known as H.
Could it really be AC-12 gaffer Ted Hastings? Peter, a founder member of Scotland Yard’s undercover unit and star of Channel 4’s Hunted, has more insight than most into the question gripping viewers.It’s not looking good for Ted, but if he’s corrupt I’d be broken. I don’t believe he is.Who is left to be the good guy, to cut through all this corruption and criminality, if Ted is taken down?I think Hastings is going to be wrongfully convicted of corruption.
Clearly things are not all sweet and rosy at home, but there haven’t been any huge red flags. I cannot think of any clues – even small ones – that it could be her.Here’s some food for thought – what if there isn’t an individual behind the identity of H?H could refer to a place rather than a person. If you look at the block of flats where the people being trafficked by the Organized Crime Group were held, you get a glimpse of an aerial shot of them in the shape of two joined H’s.In Northern Ireland during the Troubles, the notorious HM Prison Maze, used to house paramilitary prisoners, was referred to as “the H Blocks”. Is there a possible link?
