Just a few weeks after the Lionesses sadly lost to Spain in the World Cup final, the Manchester United midfielder celebrated her 24th birthday on Saturday, 2 September, and received loving tributes. In the caption, he gushed: "Happy birthday to this rocket .. The funniest, loving, most infectious character I’ve ever met. Forever proud of you, You never fail to put a smile on my face & the best girlfriend I could ask for .. Enjoy your day .. Love you to bits".Joining in on the birthday wishes was Ella's best friend and Lioness teammate Alessia Russo, who also used to play for Manchester United.
A source told The Sun: "Ella and Joe are very much in love and have been together for a while now. They are both from Manchester and have mutual friends who introduced them.
