Carlow trainer Shark Hanlon still awaiting result of an appeal against a 10-month ban from training, due to begin on December 1
Shark Hanlon admitted he had suffered a ‘lonely day’ after selling 15 of his horses at The Goffs UK October Horses in Training Sale on Tuesday.
The Carlow man, who has admitted he’s winding down his business after receiving a 10-month ban from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, was present at the sales.Read More: Jockey blames horses*** for failure to claim race win after late error His superstar gelding and King George winner Hewick was not among the horses sent to Doncaster and his future trainer still remains a mystery with Shark’s partner Rachel O’Neill having been refused a licence by the IHRB until she undergoes the trainers’ course.
“There's a couple left, we'll try to get sold before the evening is over but it's a lonely day when you have to come here, when they put you to do this. I don't think it's very fair."
