New Love Island contestant Gemma Owen has said that she doesn't just want to be known as 'someone's daughter' on the show, in reference to her footballer father Michael Owen
Love Island contestant Gemma Owen has made it clear that she doesn’t want to be known just as famous footballer Michael Owen’s daughter as she prepares to join the show.
Speaking on being linked to her sportsman dad, Gemma said in a video shared on the series’ Instagram page: “You want to have your own goals, you don’t wanna be known just as the daughter of someone.” Gemma described herself as a “alpha female” in the clip as she switched to talking about the type of guy she is looking for when she arrives in the brand new Mallorca villa soon.“Once they get to know me, they realise that I’m quite nice, but it definitely takes time to see that I think. I like a sort of alpha male but I like to be the alpha female so it doesn’t really work together.”
