The Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad has been readmitted to the regional organisation, the Arab League, drawing a line in the sand after 12 years of exclusion.
In that time, an estimated 500,000 Syrians have lost their lives and approximately 13 million have been displaced internally and across the region. Assad’s brutal terror regime turned Syria into a literal form of hell on earth, with Syrians brutalised, terrorised, murdered and ‘disappeared’.
