A crash is causing delays on the M50 through Dublin - the road is closed northbound between Junction 7 Lucan and Junction 6 Blanchardstown
Delays of up to 90 minutes are expected from Junction 10 Ballymount, and motorists have been advised to drive carefully and avoid the area if possible. Gardaí are currently diverting traffic and sending it back to Junction 7.The M50 account on X posted earlier: “All lanes have closed N'bound at J7 Lucan due to a serious collision before J6 Blanch. Emergency services are on scene diverting traffic off at J7. Please avoid the area if possible.
Passengers travelling to Dublin Airport are advised of delays on the M50 northbound due to a traffic collision between Junction 7 & Junction 6 . Diversions are currently in place. Please plan your route accordingly & seeA Garda spokesperson said this afternoon: "Delays are expected to continue this afternoon and into this evening. We ask motorists to take alternative routes if possible. Your patience and understanding is appreciated.
