A major city centre street in the low emission zone is set to get a £1.5 million boost to improve bus services this year.
Work is to start in the late summer and be finished by March for the first phase beginning at Hope Street’s junction with Argyle Street running to West George Lane.A council paper said the Hope Street route is the “primary northbound bus corridor through the city centre and low emission zone” and is a “key priority for strategic improvement.”
Councillors are due to consider whether to approve acceptance of the cash at the city administration committee on Thursday.
