The 33-year-old faces two charges of stalking and two counts of possessing a bladed article in public
A man allegedly stalked a woman through the centre of Lisburn while carrying a meat cleaver and Stanley knife, the High Court heard yesterday.
It was claimed that while making an off-licence purchase he started to ask if she was married, had a boyfriend or any children. Crown lawyer Sarah Minford said Al-Dulaimi then returned each time she was on duty, only buying one tin of beer but making similar comments. During interviews he denied following the woman or any intention to cause alarm, and claimed that he only asked if a ring on her finger meant she was married because he was learning about different customs.
Opposing bail, the prosecutor raised concerns about potential further offences and disclosed that Al-Dulaimi’s previous hotel accommodation is no longer available.
