Gardai are questioning a suspect after a woman suffered an alleged horrific sex and knife attack in her own home in Tralee on Thursday..The attacker is alleged to have used scissors to stab the woman – who managed to fight him off despite being badly wounded.
It’s understood the suspect is Irish and the victim was born in another country but is a naturalised citizen. Sources say a man in his 30s was arrested shortly after the alleged incident on Maine Street in Tralee. “At approximately 9.30am, emergency services alerted Gardaí of an alleged serious assault of a woman. The woman, aged in her 20s has been taken to University Hospital Kerry to be treated for her injuries.
