A young man has died and a woman and child are seriously injured following a two-vehicle collision in Roscommon. Gardai have closed the road at Arigna.
Gardai are at the scene of a fatal crash in Roscommon. A young man has died and a woman and child are seriously injured.A male driver, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman, aged in her 50s, and a male child were taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. A woman and male child were brought to Sligo University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening. "Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident between 8pm and 8.30pm, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
