A Lanarkshire street has been swarmed by police and forensics after a man was found dead in a Lanarkshire property.
Residents on Braxfield Terrace in Lanark woke up to sirens as the road was completely locked down by emergency services at around 10pm on October 4. An unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are treating the death as suspicious and are still trying to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. One resident told Glasgow Live: "They arrived last night and are still here. People are being signed in and out of the area and no cars can leave.One concerned resident who lives on the street added: "I'm anxious and very scared as I have four children, it’s something I never expected to be so close to."
Police Scotland have confirmed that investigators are following a positive line of enquiry. No one has been arrested following the incident.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Wednesday, 4 October, police were called to an address in Braxfield Terrace, Lanark.“The death is currently being treated as suspicious and the investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing. Officers are following a positive line of enquiry.
