The incident occurred earlier this month during a charity challenge game between Wexford and Tipperary in Carrick-on-Suir at the beginning of April.

The incident occurred towards the end of the game when players from both teams were involved in a scuffle near the sideline. During the scuffle, a man made racist comments towards former All-star hurler Chin enraging his Wexford teammates.The game was subsequently abandoned by referee John Keenan.
