Mauricio Pochettino is being linked with the Manchester United job following his shock Chelsea dismissal, and a potential switch to Old Trafford could be great news for Marcus Rashford
The former Chelsea boss has emerged as frontrunner to replace Erik ten Hag in the Old Trafford hotseat this summer following his shock Stamford Bridge exit on Tuesday. United are long-term admirers of Pochettino, and it looks as if the feeling is mutual, going off the Argentinian's past comments at least.
"I think he’s a great player," the former Tottenham manager told Sky Sports. "He just needs the confidence and for himself to believe, to put him at the top level. The quality is there for him." Many are tipping the same for Rashford and United this summer, with the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all monitoring the situation. The 26-year-old still has four years left on his contract, but with new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe planning an end of season clear-out it's impossible to rule a Rashford departure out.
