Whether its a new cafe, takeaway, bar or shop - more often than now, locals know about it and have already started talking about their favourite item. One such place is The Pork Shop on Clifton Street, which has been a favourite of the locals since it opened in 2021.
Uncle Dave's sausage is the talk of anyone who visits a branch of the shop, especially in Lytham, where the item appears particularly popular. This includes pork pies, sausage rolls, chipolatas, burgers and meatballs. Although the tastes can be enjoyed by many in a variety of produce, the actual recipe is only known to two people - which makes the sausage that little bit more special.
However, to really understand the hype around a product - you've got to try it for yourself. Heading over to the Lytham branch, LancsLive walked towards the Pork Shop in the hopes that I could grab ourselves a culinary delight. I've only really seen a sausage this big when it's curled up, like those fancy Cumberland ones you get from a gastro pub. Even the look of it, you could tell it was good quality and not some cheap product that you may get elsewhere - this is a proper butcher shop that clearly cares about what it sells.
