Met Eireann has issued a miserable weather forecast this weekend amid heavy, persistent rain and isolated thunderstorms.Today will see a mix of sunny spells and heavy rain.A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Today will bring sunny spells and widespread showers. Some of the showers will be heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms, which may cause spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in a light to moderate south to southwest wind.
Tomorrow will be"another showery day, with further widespread and heavy, possibly thundery showers."
