The Status Yellow fog warning is in place for 22 counties
Met Eireann has issued a rare Status Yellow warning for 'dense fog' that is set to covering almost the entire country this morning.
The fog will gradually clear this morning to reveal 'spells of hazy sunshine' on Wednesday afternoon but rain will move up from the southwest covering the whole of Ireland with scattered heavy showers by tonight. Tonight, rain will extend to remaining areas with scattered heavy showers and clear spells following overnight. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light southeast breezes. Some mist or fog locally too.
Friday, October 27 Another showery day, with further widespread and heavy, possibly thundery showers. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds, fresher along south and east coasts.
