Irish weather: the national meteorological service have issued weather warnings for a number of counties across the country on Sunday, including an orange warning for Waterford
They are forecasting intense rainfall over a relatively short time period in the county.
The national meteorological service advises that potential impacts of such weather include flooding, poor visibility and hazardous travelling conditions. The highest rain accumulations are expected to be on hills and mountains.
The potential impacts of such conditions are localized flooding, poor visibility and travel disruption.Sunday will be wet and windy. Rain will move up from the south during the morning, spreading to all areas. It will be heavy at times, causing localised flooding. The rain will clear northeastwards through the evening with scattered showers following, some of these heavy and possibly thundery.
