People along the coast should beware of 'overtopping waves'
The national weather forecaster’s status yellow warning is valid from 4am on Wednesday morning until 9pm on Wednesday night.
There is also a Status Orange marine warning for stormy conditions along the west coast from Roches Point in Cork Harbour to Slyne Head in Galway and Malin Head in Donegal.The national weather service also shared warnings by the UK’s Met Office for a Status Yellow wind and rain alert in counties Antrim and Down with a separate Status Yellow rain warning for Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry.
