It looks like we might get a taste of some summery weather towards the weekend, which is good news as the last few months have been a mixed bag when it comes to the weather
It has been a less than ideal start to the week across much of the country as a number of counties woke up to weather warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms.
However, as we near the weekend it looks like drier conditions are more likely, with only a few showers set to make an appearance.Read more:Met Éireann issues thunderstorm and flooding warning as Status Orange rain hits In their forecast for the weekend, Met Eireann have said: "Current indications suggest some showers over the weekend, but overall a good amount of dry weather with daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high teens generally."Monday 12th August Heavy showers and thunderstorms in parts of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster will clear away to the northeast this morning. It will then be a largely dry day with sunny spells.
Wednesday 14th August It will become cloudy on Wednesday, bringing some patches of light rain or drizzle. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees with a moderate southwesterly wind. It will become wet in most areas on Wednesday night as rain extends from the west. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with a moderate southwesterly wind.
