Met Éireann has confirmed that Ireland will experience dry and warm weather from Monday, 16 September to Sunday, 22 September. While temperatures have been steady this summer, the coming week promises a settled period with 'drier than normal' conditions. However, a shift towards cooler autumnal weather is expected later in September.

Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather also shared that there will be a “rollercoaster” of temperatures, but next week is looking good. “As a result, our weather will stay generally settled, though occasional showers or spells of rain cannot be ruled out,” they said. They added: “This will allow more frequent spells of rain to spread across the country from the Atlantic. Rainfall amounts are likely to increase compared to previous weeks, with slightly wetter than average conditions indicated nationwide. Mean temperatures will be just above normal also.”
