It's time to put the snow boots away snowireland irishweather meteireann
Met Eireann has refuted the chance of snow falling this week with “dry and settled” weather taking over.
“Given that caveat, the overall signal from the seasonal models for Ireland during spring , is for slightly above average temperatures with average rainfall. Thursday, 2 March A good deal of scattered cloud with some light patchy rain extending from the east during the morning. By afternoon any lingering rain will begin to clear as some sunny spells develop. Winds will generally stay light and variable with top temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees.
It will stay mainly dry and cloudy especially in the south of the country. Further north more clearer spells will develop with a light to moderate easterly breeze. It will be cold overnight in the north with temperatures falling below freezing at -2 degrees but further south it should stay a touch milder at 0 to 2 degrees, so some frosty patches are possible.
