Weather experts across the country have been giving their verdict on the possibility of snow across the country - Met Eireann have now shared their forecast amid temperature plunge

In their outlook for the week ahead, Met Eireann wrote: "Changeable and rather unsettled weather expected."Today A cold start this morning with any frost or ice clearing to leave a bright day with sunshine. There'll be a few showers about but most areas will hold dry. During the evening, cloud will thicken from the west with rain developing on the southwest coast later on. Maximum afternoon temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with just a moderate northwest breeze.
Tomorrow A mostly cloudy day on Sunday with outbreaks of rain and drizzle affecting the southern half of the country for a time. Mostly dry over northern parts with just a few showers. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees with a fresh northerly breeze developing during the day. Monday 26th February Frost and ice will clear on Monday to leave a mostly fine day with plenty of sunshine and just a few isolated showers. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in moderate northerly breezes. Cold early on Monday night with a touch of frost likely, especially in eastern areas. However, cloud will build from the west overnight and rain will develop in Atlantic coastal counties before dawn on Tuesday.
