Irish weather forecast: Met Eireann warn of flooding, thunder and snow as Storm Dennis batters Ireland
Met Eireann is set to issue weather warnings for flooding and "damaging gusts" as Storm Dennis hits Ireland.
A Met Eireann forecaster said: "Windy this morning, with rain becoming widespread for a time, followed by brighter weather with scattered showers in the west early this morning and in all areas by afternoon. And Saturday will see Storm Dennis start to make landfall, with further stormy and thundery showers expected on Sunday.
"Extremely windy and very showery on Sunday with stormy conditions in Atlantic coastal counties, especially northwestern counties with very severe and squally winds.
