Hot stuff coming through

The Met Office said the UK saw its hottest day of the year on Tuesday with temperatures rising to over 25C in parts of the country.

For Lancashire and the rest of the North West, there are prolonged periods of sun forecasted over the next week. Temperatures will hover around 20C until Friday before rising slightly to 21C over the weekend with no rainfall in sight. “Through tonight, clouds are going to push further west, meaning a lot of Wales and south-west England, who have enjoyed wall-to-wall sunshine in recent days, will be waking up to clouds.”

Ms Ayers said: “Blustery north-easterly offshore winds over the next few days will make it feel cooler for anyone down at the beach for half-term.” To get an idea of when the hot weather will come to an end, we have to turn to the Met Office's mid and longer range weather forecast.
