Chandler was due to take on McGregor at UFC 303 last weekend but the Irishman pulled out injured less than two weeks before the fight. McGregor broke his toe in training and no date has been set for the rescheduled bout with UFC CEO Dana White insisting it will not take place before November.
But McGregor claims he will be ready in either August or September - and Chandler believes his future will be clarified soon. "I think we'll know a lot in the next week or two about how this is going to play out," he said. "I've gotten that question a lot over the last year, you know, about a timeline. Is there a certain date ? When do you pull the plug? When do you, you know, insert a catchphrase here.
