The Independent TD and incoming junior minister hung up the phone while chatting with Sarah McInerney on Drivetime following chaotic scenes in the Dáil earlier on Wednesday
Michael Healy-Rae hung up while on air on RTÉ Radio One’s Drivetime claiming he was not given the “opportunity” to answer a question from Sarah McInerney.
Sarah asked the TD: “You had TDs who formed a group and went into programme for government negotiations with the government, agreed a programme for government, agreed to support the government in good days and in bad and then said they want to sit in opposition benches.Michael responded: “If you're going to ask a question and answer it yourself the best thing I can do is go away and let you talk away yourself.
To which Michael said: “Do you know what we will do now so? No, I’ll let you at it, you aren’t going to let me at it. Fine, no problem. No problem.”
