The horse is 'being backed like he’s one of the Irish bankers of the meeting'
Money continues to come for the Willie Mullins-trained Kopeck De Mee after the weights were announced for the handicaps at the Cheltenham Festival .
The JP McManus-owned Kopeck De Mee has seen his odds slashed by bookmakers, with firms reporting that he's "being backed like he's one of the Irish bankers of the meeting". The five-year-old has yet to run for Mullins since joining the Closutton trainer's yard from France, where he won three of his five races for Joel Boisnard. His last run came last May when he won a listed hurdle race over 2m2f by four and a half lengths.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “We’ve reported how popular Kopeck De Mee has been for Cheltenham already, but now the handicap marks are out, the money just won’t stop coming. He’s now a 7/2 shot from 5/1 for the Martin Pipe and is being backed like he’s one of the Irish bankers of the meeting.
