Business Post/Red C poll reveals that around 50 per cent of voters want the government to use the extra funds at its disposal to spend more in the budget

The government is under growing pressure to slash the controversial Universal Social Charge , with seven in ten voters calling for its abolition before the next General Election.

As the coalition heads into what could be its last budget, the latest Business Post/Red C poll reveals that 71 per cent of voters now want the USC removed in the lifetime of this government, with just 11 per cent in favour of retaining it.
