Sherrie Milnes warned police about Steven Doughty a day before he killed her, her inquest was told.

Its report concluded: "We could not determine whether faster police attendance would have led to a different outcome."The coroner said Ms Milnes' family believed if the police had given "advice" to Mr Doughty, her death might have been avoided. Ms Milnes' family told the hearing she had separated from her partner of eight years three times before finally leaving him in February 2021 for a new relationship.
