Manchester United parted company with Jose Mourinho in December 2018 and the Special One admits the club have stuck by players he wanted to axe as he wasn't sold on their character
Jose Mourinho admits Manchester United still have players on their books who "he didn't want five or six years ago".
Since then they've continued to chop and change the man in the dugout and retain players who, some argue, are not up to standard as they continue to struggle under Erik ten Hag. The Special One claimed three trophies in his first season, but finished sixth in the Premier League. Europa League success ensured they played in the Champions League the following season but Mourinho has also felt as though his debut season was undervalued.
