Everton and Ireland centre-half Jake O’Brien has finally broken into the first-team as a right-back

David Moyes has explained his deployment of Jake O’Brien at right-back by comparing the Ireland centre-half’s first-team breakthrough with that of a player from his first spell in charge.

According to Moyes, youngsters can benefit from playing out of position early on - but he sees Corkman O’Brien playing in a central role in the longer-term.
