Heimir Hallgrímsson on Thursday names his Ireland squad for the Nations League promotion/relegation play-off against Bulgaria.

David Moyes has given Ireland boss Heimir Hallgrímsson the green light to select Seamus Coleman for the Nations League promotion/relegation play-off against Bulgaria.

“I want all my players to be internationals and I want them to play for their countries. It is something they should be really proud of,” he said.“He will certainly get it for his heart to play for his country and what he has given up over the years.”“If not, I will be happy to have him as we will try to give him some bounce games so he can get some practice, probably in the international break.”

“You don’t just keep people for the sake of keeping them because if you did every club would have hundreds of old players there,” he said. “We might still decide to keep him on anyway, but for me Seamus picking up the injuries is the problem.
