Emergency services raced to the incident at around 7am on Friday morning.
Commuters were faced with travel chaos on Friday morning rush hour after a 'multi-vehicle' crash on the M8 in Glasgow .
Lanes one and two near Junction 15 Westbound were affected, however traffic has returned to normal following the smash. A travel update posted to social media by Traffic Scotland reads: "CLEAR 08:59. "#M8 Junction 15 Traffic now returning to normal on the Westbound carriageway following the earlier collision at Junction 15".
