Her husband booked a surprise getaway for her birthday but they were unable to go because of her stepdaughter
A woman has been left furious after claiming her romantic trip away with her husband was spoiled by her stepdaughter - and she now wants to cancel a birthday surprise arranged for the young relative. The woman's partner had booked them a surprise getaway trip in the same destination where they spent their honeymoon as a birthday gift, the Mirror reports.
The angry woman took to Mumsnet to explain that her husband was devastated and she now wants to cancel the surprise she had planned for her stepdaughter's upcoming 21st birthday, as she feels she doesn't deserve it. The woman, who remained anonymous, said that she had seen messages between her husband and his daughter, confirming that she'd look after her 11-year-old sister - and was aware they'd also discussed it over the phone.
"There was no apology to either of us, I've not heard from her since, she would normally wish me happy Mother's Day but I didn't hear from her." Still furious about the situation, the woman continued: "Her 21st is coming up and I had booked a gorgeous big cottage for a long weekend for us to celebrate, there's room for her to bring her boyfriend and a couple of friends and for some extended family to join us too.
