Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after the body of an unidentified man was found in Dublin's Grand Canal.
An unidentified man's body was pulled from Dublin 's Grand Canal on Saturday. He was removed from the scene at Coolscuddan in Newcastle yesterday morning and taken to Dublin City Mortuary.
In particular, they are asking walkers or cyclists who were between the the 12th Lock, Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge, between Thursday, March 6 and Saturday, March 8, to come forward. A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the discovery of the body of an unidentified male in the Grand Canal at Coolscuddan, Newcastle, Co. Dublin on Saturday morning, 8th March 2025.
"Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area, particularly those who were walking or cycling, between the 12th Lock, Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge, Co. Dublin between Thursday 6th March and Saturday 8th March 2025 to come forward.
