Remember that downed powerlines are dangerous and should be avoided. Those who live north of Loop 410 have seen ice accumulation overnight. Neighborhoods like Stone Oak, Helotes and Timberwood Park are reporting power outages. Flashes could be seen across the North Side earlier this morning. Some roadways are seeing ice, too. Loop 1604, along the city’s north side, has seen multiple crashes. Meantime, for those south of Loop 410, precipitation has been mainly in the form of light to moderate rainfall. The airport has picked up over half-inch of rainfall with this event.
