It was reported back in December that the breed was under consideration to be added to the list. The Presa Canario is a Spanish breed of large dog of mastiff or catch dog type. It originates in the autonomous region of the Canary Islands, and is found mostly in the islands of Gran Canaria and Tenerife.Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys said: "This list has not been updated in recent years.
