Changing Times Brewery launches its Clockwork Velvet Stout, a cheaper alternative to Guinness as Diageo hikes prices for its iconic stout. The new stout is available in pubs owned by the founding members of the brewery, who plan to freeze prices for 2025.
A new Dublin stout was launched today in hopes of providing a cheaper alternative to Guinness as the price of pints has been hiked again.
Changing Times Brewery announced its newest offering today which hopes to compete against the famous Guinness. Its new stout is called Clockwork Velvet Stout and offers a consistent and smooth experience with 4.2% ABV. “Myself and many of the others were hearing that question several times a day like clockwork. It’s clear there’s a significant portion of stout-drinking customers who are looking for a change and want to try something new. That’s why we’re so delighted to be able to now offer them our Clockwork Velvet Stout.”
